Job Description: Pastry Chef

Salary: £30000 per annum
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and create a variety of pastries desserts and baked goods according to the hotel's menu.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in the kitchen at all times.
- Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to develop new dessert recipes and menus.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies placing orders as necessary while minimizing waste.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in pastry preparation and cooking techniques.
- Present desserts and pastries in an appealing manner to enhance guest experience.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in pastry and dessertmaking to innovate and improve offerings.
- Assist in the overall management of the pastry section ensuring timely and efficient service.
Essential Qualifications:
- Professional qualification in pastry arts culinary arts or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Creativity and passion for pastry making.
Desired Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment.
- Proven track record of creating highquality pastries and desserts.
- Experience in training and mentoring kitchen staff is a plus.
