Job Description
Job details
- Plan scaffolded and differentiated lessons aligned with standardsbased outcomes
- Implement diverse instructional strategies including inquirybased and problembased learning
- Use formative and summative assessment data to guide planning and teaching
- Engage in reflective practice and participate in professional development
- Collaborate with Chinese and English colleagues across disciplines
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Elementary School Principal
Beyond academic instruction teachers also:
- Create a safe supportive classroom environment that encourages critical and creative thinking
- Communicate effectively with students parents colleagues and administrators
- Support holistic student development as advisors or project supervisors (e.g. PYP Community Projects Passion Projects)
- Collaboratively plan and participate in cocurricular activities and events
Qualifications :
Requirements
- Bachelors degree Masters degree preferred
- Experience in a PYP classroom
- Valid teaching certificate or proof of qualified teacher status
- Experience working in a bilingual setting preferred
Additional Information :
Salary and benefits
- Monthly salary range of 30000 to 40000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Housing allowance of up to 10000 RMB
- Annual roundtrip airfare home (up to 8000 RMB)
