Smiths Group has a number of functions where it operates a process excellence model at a Group level in a shared service environment. This model seeks to identify leading practice and share it and apply it amongst the Divisions which can range from training and guidance through to common and codified processes and systems depending upon the function and area of business. Finance Excellence partners with the Exec level sponsors of these Excellence Programmes and their teams to identify scope shape and build the processes and solutions that will support their agendas ensuring that the solutions will be appropriate and useful to the Divisions that will use them. Currently there are activities in Finance (T&E Accounts Payable) HR and Operations.
The Process Excellence Lead role is responsible to support the GPO Controls and Compliance to define align and govern an end to end global process. This includes defining policies processes desktop procedures controls process performance measures roles & responsibilities and training material. The PEL is key in support the GPO in determining the data and automation roadmap and will act in conjunction with a solution owner of the key technologies that support this process in BIS. The role holder should also drive the governance of this process and execute upon it.
This role will work with multiple groups of stakeholders Finance Excellence and business counterparts and 3rd parties to shape deliver and sustain the agenda.
The Process Excellence lead will report to the Global Process Manager Finance as part of the GPO organization
