The focus is set on modelling and simulations for engineering systems which falls in fluids/solids/thermal domains.
- Youll model and simulate mechanical systems accurately to reduce computational cost.
- Youll derive and implement strategy to simulate 1D/2D/3D multiphysics models e.g fluid dynamics and/or structural mechanics using numerical simulations scripting and programming.
- Furthermore youlll combine physicsbased models with databased AI/ML approaches which is popularly known as Scientific machine Learning( SciML).
- You will work in international teams and perform necessary development / implementation to accomplish the tasks.
- Publish research findings in reputable journals and conferences.
Required skills:
- Proficient in Mathematics with solid engineering background.
- Sound fundamentals of partial differential equations and Linear Algebra.
- Sound fundamentals of numerical methods for modelling and simulation.
- Knowledge in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and or structural mechanics.
- Knowledge of Scientific Machine Learning (SciML) methods like physics informed machine learning operator learning system identification.
- Excellent programming skills in Python and C.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Preferable skills:
- Familiarity with simulation tools: OpenFOAM and/or Comsol will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with high performance computing will be an added advantage.
Qualifications :
- Minimum MS/ MSc/ M.Tech from top Indian institutes (NITs IITs IISc etc) or from top international institutes.
- With good academic track record and research experience related to : Numerical methods for modelling and simulation for solid/fluid/thermal systems.
- Preferred specialization: Mechanical Aerospace Civil Electrical Electronics & Communication engineering Mathematics Physics
