Job Description
HWSQD is a flourishing Independent Coeducational Boarding Senior School situated on the beautiful Eastern Seaboard of China delivering a rigorous and challenging academic programme and an extensive range of extracurricular and athletic opportunities for all students. The school follows the English National Curriculum from iGCSE through to A2 Level delivering both Edexcel and Cambridge curricula. All courses are delivered through the medium of English and all students are required to be fluent in the target language. HWSQD graduates to date have been consistent in their application to and subsequent entry into the most prestigious universities in the UK USA Canada Hong Kong Australia and other countries. Qingdao itself enjoys a pleasant and moderate climate and while it is one of the most affluent and rapidly expanding cities in China the city was deemed the "most livable" in China in 2009. This city bordered by the Yellow Sea on two sides has the largest bathing beach in Asia and produces the mellow Qingdao Beer. To the east of the city a short distance across the Yellow Sea lie Korea and Japan making the city an important port for international trade.
Workloads and Duties
Teaching content: IG English IELTS ESL
The Employee will perform such teaching administrative and extracurricular duties and activities as may be assigned by the school from time to time and for which the employee is qualified and/or able to perform. The Employee will carry out such duties in a professional manner; they may include
Providing teaching plans and lesson plans. Guiding/tutoring students in need.
Providing reports on student performance and progress. Setting assessments marking and providing timely feedback to students and School leadership.
Providing periodic reports for parents/ guardians attending parentteacher meetings.
Taking part in the School s appraisal program. Undertaking/offering professional development training/projects.
Offering extracurricular activities.
