Responsibilities
Perform visual inspections and measurements on incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Materials will include both refractory and sheet metal.
Identify and report any nonconformances or deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular inspections of production processes to monitor quality control parameters and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and documentation.
Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
Support the departments safety initiatives apply knowledge of industrial safety standards and identify health hazards.
Required Skills
Able to interpret technical documentation (e.g. specifications design prints SOPs etc.)
Proficient in using measurement tools and equipment.
Strong knowledge of quality control methods practices and procedures.
High attention to detail.
Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word Excel PowerPoint etc.)
Desired Skills
Previous manufacturing experience
Metal fabrication and welding knowledge
Metrology experience (e.g. CMM vision systems 3D scanning etc.)
Solidworks/CAD understanding
