- Develop and design P&IDs using AutoCAD Plant 3D Smart Plant P&ID and CADWorx software.
- Collaborate with process engineers mechanical engineers and other team members to create clear and accurate P&IDs that meet project specifications and standards.
- Ensure that all piping instrumentation and control elements are correctly represented in the P&IDs.
- Create and maintain P&ID databases including all associated equipment instruments and valve data.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of P&ID drawings to ensure accuracy consistency and compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISA ASME and PIP as well as companyspecific standards.
- Assist in the generation of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and other related documentation.
- Provide support during project stages including design construction and commissioning.
- Identify and resolve issues in the P&ID design that could impact the overall project.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate mechanical electrical and instrumentation systems into the P&ID drawings.
- Perform revisions to drawings based on engineering feedback and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all design changes revisions and approvals.
Requirements
- Associate s degree or higher in Engineering Drafting or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience (X years) as a P&ID Designer in industrial or engineering projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D Smart Plant P&ID and/or CADWorx software.
- Strong knowledge of piping and instrumentation design process flow and related industrial standards.
- Experience working with industry standards for P&ID drawings such as ISA ASME PIP or similar.
- Familiarity with design codes and standards such as ASME B31.3 ASME B31.1 and API standards.
- Good understanding of control systems and instrumentation.
