Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Derby to assist with the appointment of a Call Handler/Responder on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 12.74 16.07 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Call handling services
- Responding to emergency situations including lifting uninjured customers using specialist equipment provided. (Full training provided)
- Carrying out safe and well checks to support vulnerable people living in the community.
- Installing and maintaining emergency call equipment in customers homes
Qualifications:
- A knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults(HCC)
- Knowledge Of Telecare/ Community Alarm
- Experience of working in a caring environment/caring for others
- Experience of working in a customer focused working environment.
- Experience of working within a collections or call centre environment
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively face to face over the phone and in writing
- Ability to use IT systems to maintain up to date and accurate records
- Excellent communication and negation skills at all levels including contractors clients suppliers and customers to ensure best value services are provided
- Accurate In The Input Of Data To The Computer System
- Familiarity with computers and basic keyboard skills (Word Excel) and the ability to learn bespoke systems
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an enhanced DBS
