Job Description
Job Title: CNC/Lathe Operator
Location: Singapore
Salary: Depends Upon Experience
Experience: 0 to 1 Years
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage CNC machines and conventional lathes to produce precision components based on engineering drawings.
- Set up machines including loading raw materials and executing test runs to ensure proper machine functionality.
- Program CNC machines using Gcode or interpret provided programming data for efficient operation.
- Inspect finished components to ensure conformity with quality standards including dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot any machine malfunctions.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production schedules and meet deadlines.
- Document production activities including the number of parts produced machine downtime and material usage.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Essential Qualifications:
- Diploma/Certification in Mechanical Engineering CNC Programming or a related field.
- Proven experience in operating CNC machines and conventional lathes
- Strong understanding of technical drawings blueprints and CAD designs.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as Gcode and Mcode.
- Handson experience with measuring tools like calipers micrometers and gauges.
- Strong problemsolving skills for diagnosing and troubleshooting machinery issues.
- Ability to work with various materials including metals plastics and composites.
- Detailoriented with excellent handeye coordination.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills for operating CNC software and maintaining production records.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
