As a CT Technologist at our client you will perform diagnostic CT exams under general supervision. Your responsibilities include verifying patient identity explaining procedures acquiring images reviewing images and participating in process improvement activities. Key Responsibilities
- Verifies patient identity and reviews patients medical record for appropriateness of exam or procedure.
- Explains procedure to patient including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered risks benefits alternatives and followup.
- Sets up equipment and acquires appropriate images as per script.
- Reviews images makes initial observations documents exceptions from established protocols and communicates data to radiologist. Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies as appropriate.
- Participates in process improvement activities within radiology practice including but not limited to quality of care patient flow rejectrepeat analysis and patient satisfaction.
- Provides imaging education to residents student technologists and new employees.
- Instruct patients who may be under physical/emotional stress
- Ability to comprehend and follow physicians verbal and written request and prescriptions.
Qualifications
- You must be registered by ARRT in Radiology or CT
- At least 1 year of experience and hold a current state radiology license.
- Preferred qualifications include AHA BLS or CPR certification.
Schedule and Shift Details
Days Afternoons or Night shifts available; 8 or 10hour shifts; Rotating Weekends OnCall required
