Job Description
- Job Title: Chemist
- Job Type: Permanent
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Job Location: Cramlington
- Shift Patterns available:
- Tuesday to Friday 12pm 8pm & Saturday 8.30am 4.30pm
- Sunday 8am 4pm & Monday to Thursday 12pm 8pm
As a Chemist youll be responsible for preparing samples and performing analytical procedures to provide accurate and reliable test results to clients in accordance with written and verbal instructions.
Key Accountabilities
- Analysis and preparation of laboratory samples and reagents in accordance with specified test procedures.
- Perform testing in accordance with internal quality procedures and ensure the results reported are accurate and valid.
- Upload the results of analyses into the companys reporting system and ensure the timely transfer of outcomes for reporting to customers via the Companys assured internal procedures.
- Participate in relevant internal and external proficiency schemes to ensure that reliable results are delivered to customers.
Qualifications :
Essential
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software and general computer practice.
- Degree or Equivalent level qualification within chemistry field
Desirable
- Experience of working in a laboratory.
