- Period of Performance: February 2025 to 31 August 2025
- Estimate Pay: $48.97 to $55.92 per hour
Working Hours:
Work is typically scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Position will be 2 days onsite (Tues & Thurs) at the location listed above and 3 days remote (Mon Wed Fri). While the schedule may need to be flexible it will not exceed 40 hours per week or 1024 hours total. The contractor may be occasionally called upon for afterhours as needed.
Summary:
The Cloud Solutions Architect III designs and implements enterprise application solutions across onpremises and cloud platforms including AWS Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). They specialize in developing cloudnative architectures and leveraging service models like IaaS PaaS and SaaS to meet business and technical requirements. With expertise in AI Machine Learning and Deep Learning they design and guide solutions using advanced cloudnative tools such as Azure Machine Learning AWS SageMaker and Google Vertex AI.
Key responsibilities include architecting scalable secure and resilient cloud infrastructures assessing and migrating existing systems to the cloud and ensuring compliance with standards like GDPR and HIPAA. They implement solutions that enhance performance scalability and cost efficiency while managing cloud security frameworks identity and access management (IAM) and monitoring systems.
This role also involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams to translate business needs into actionable cloud strategies optimizing operations through CI/CD pipelines containerization (e.g. Kubernetes Docker) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. A strong foundation in networking security and cloud cost management complements their technical acumen along with a proven ability to lead AI/ML initiatives and develop innovative cloud solutions tailored to business objectives.
Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
Mandatory Qualifications
- At least 10 years experience architecting enterprise application solutions across onpremises and cloud infrastructure.
- At least 10 years experience architecting solutions in one or more of the cloud platforms: GCP Azure and AWS.
- At least 8 years experience developing cloud native application architectures across leading cloud platforms.
- At least 8 years experience architecting solutions that utilize fitforpurpose service models such as IaaS PaaS and SaaS.
- At least 8 years experience in all phases of Machine Learning Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning solutions using Azure or AWS or google technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 8 years experience strong understanding of virtual networks VPNs DNS load balancers and firewalls.
- At least 8 years experience understanding of cloud security frameworks encryption identity and access management (IAM) and compliance standards like GDPR HIPAA etc.
- At least 8 years experience familiarity with CI/CD pipelines containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- At least 8 years experience proficiency in languages such as Python Java C# and scripting languages for automation.
- At least 8 years experience knowledge of API design development and management including RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- At least 8 years experience knowledge of microservices serverless architectures and cloudnative application development.
- At least 8 years experience ability to analyze and optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability.
- At least 8 years experience excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate cloud strategies and solutions to stakeholders.
- At least 8 years experience ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams including developers administrators and business leaders.
- At least 8 years experience skills in monitoring and analyzing system performance to ensure optimal cloud operations.
- At least 6 years experience with Azure Machine Learning Azure Cognitive Services or AWS technologies like SageMaker Redshift EC2 Data Pipeline Kinesis EMR and AI services like Transcribe etc or Google technologies like Vertex AI platform Agent Builder and others.
- At least 1 year experience Cloud Certification eg AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain cloud architecture that aligns with business goals and technical requirements.
- Design scalable secure and resilient cloud infrastructure that ensure best practices in cloud architecture.
- Assess the current infrastructure and identify components suitable for cloud migration. Develop a comprehensive migration strategy including timelines and resource allocation.
- Implement and validate the migration ensuring data integrity and system functionality.
- Ensure cloud architecture complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement security measures to protect data and applications in the cloud.
- Monitor cloud system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement solutions to enhance performance scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide guidance and support to other IT team members on cloud technologies and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in cloud architecture and services.
- Guide technical and business decisionmakers on AI/Machine Learning/Deep Learning and generative AI projects helping to map Azure Google and AWS services.
- Analyze the services to extract technical and business insights that drive reference architectures runbooks and training content.
