Job Description
Hiire is helping one of its clients to hire an OT Engineer to support the operations of a new factory in northern Portugal.
About the Role
Are you excited about optimizing manufacturing systems and driving innovation As an OT Engineer youll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of OT systems supporting production processes and implementing cuttingedge technologies in a stateoftheart facility. This is an opportunity to solve complex challenges collaborate globally and contribute to the success of a brandnew factory.
What Youll Do
Support and Optimize OT Systems:
Maintain and improve OT systems including MES subsystems like OEE Recipe System and Historian System;
Troubleshoot and resolve OT issues to ensure uninterrupted production;
Configure and manage HMI switches and OT domains;
Drive Digital Transformation:
Support the implementation of new technologies and digitalization initiatives.
Participate in global and local OT projects driving innovation and efficiency.
Monitor data to ensure system performance and reliability.
Collaborate and Train:
Work with production teams and process engineers to enhance OT processes;
Conduct training sessions on OT systems for team members and users;
Manage and document project updates integrating OT improvements into operations.
What Were Looking For
Degree in Electrical Automation or Computer Engineering (or equivalent practical experience);
3 years of experience in manufacturingrelated OT roles;
Handson experience with MES subsystems and industrial control systems (e.g. SCADA PLC);
Knowledge of networks switches routers and Active Directory;
SQL and HTML5 knowledge with a focus on software validation;
English proficiency (B2 or above).
It would be a plus if you have:
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001 NIST);
Experience with Rockwell/Omron/Siemens PLC systems;
Knowledge of ThingWorx Thin Manager Visual Basic and vSphere/HyperV;
CCNA certification (or willingness to obtain).
