HYBRID MUST BE LOCAL TO DALLAS MON FRI 8AM TO 5PM GENERAL FUNCTION As part of the HR Operations Team the Specialist Payroll Tax employee performs a variety of duties to support the HR and Payroll functions for associates in North America. This role also provides exceptional customer service and problem resolution while maintaining strict confidentiality of information at all times.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Frequently interacts with various departments internally (Benefits Compensation HRBP Legal Compliance Store Operations Accounting and IT) and with external vendors. Appropriately maintains and secures confidential records
and inquiries. Follows and maintains knowledge of all payroll tax regulations for US and Canada. Supports Manager and to ensure data integrity through ongoing audits. Continuously reviews payroll tax data information. Research and correct/adjust discoverable errors. Supports the brands by acting as a contact for escalated issues Addresses inquiries from internal employees stakeholders or regulatory agencies regarding payroll issues Work with external vendors to close accounts related to previous acquisitions. Tracking responding and updating notices with ADP. Filing POAs for Payroll Tax in all jurisdictions/companies. Obtains portal access for all jurisdictions/companies. Track historical data related to mergers and acquisitions. Reporting from GlobalView as needed. Interact with Thomas & Co on current and future acquisitions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience required 2 years HR experience required Previous experience with reporting data analysis or payroll Proficiency using Microsoft Excel Word Requires leadership initiative analytic investigative and attention to detail skills Trustworthiness with confidential information Positive attitude and a team player Must be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred CPP 2 years HR Payroll Tax experience preferred ideally utilizing ADPs GlobalView system. Previous experience with reporting data analysis or auditing required. Strong attention to detail critical thinking and analysis skills. Excellent teamwork verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management staff customers and vendors Multistate payroll processing experience
