Position Title: Facilities Security Officer
Work Location: Baltimore MD 21224
Pay: $20/hr on W2
Duration: 03 month Contract
Shift: 2nd Shift 2pm to 10pm; Weekends required
8 our shifts saturday and Sunday. 2pm to 10pm. Weekends and weekdays can be any combination of days.
Job Description
- Oversees the unimpeded access of all individuals employees contractors vendors service personnel and visitors to the GAF HQs.
- Directly supervises the contracted security guard force. Ensures all guards are maintaining access control and other security standards in accordance with their post orders and access control SOP are in proper uniform and are professional in their interaction with people. Review and adjust the guard post orders as needed. Train the contracted guard force on all access control procedures troubleshooting techniques and contingency plans. Coordinates with the contractors management to resolve issues.
- Conducts daily physical security checks of all security measures at the HQs to ensure they are fully operational. Troubleshoots and fixes identified problems alerts the Director for those areas that need additional attention.
- Conducts physical security assessments of the GAF HQs in accordance with the GAF physical security strategy as directed. Assists the Director in physical security assessments of GAF plant locations.
- Works closely with the GAF HQs security coordinator in the operation of the Visitor Management System in the SV3 software system to ensure employees can access the system and schedule a visitor.
- Is prepared to troubleshoot and resolve all issues related to employee problems using the system and technology failures.
- Acts as a point of contact to main vendors associated with access control and visitor managementBuilding Intelligence and Plugout.
- Works with the vendors to develop acceptable solutions to technology issues.
- In conjunction with the Director develops and implements security policies protocols and procedures including maintaining and updating the GAF HQs Access Control SOP.
- Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events held at the HQs.
- Assist the Director in the development of essential security SOP templates for GAF plant locations.
- Oversees the operation of the symptom monitoring and temperature scanning kiosks as part of the access control system.
- Troubleshoots and resolves all issues related to employee problems using the system and technology failures.
- Develops and Implements contingency plans for access if there is a technology failure.
- Develops HQs contingency plans for nonfire events to include active shooter and other emergencies.
- Ensures a coordinated security response to emergencies and alarms. GAF Corporate Security 1
- Develops and submits for approval all incidents and unauthorized entry reports.
- Assists the Director in the development of reports for management on security status.
- Acts as a backup operator for the Genetec access control software system. Review individual profiles to determine issues implement fixes grant access when approved and print new access control cards.
- Keeps the Director of Security informed on all access issues. Immediately alerts the Director of Security of any significant issues with access control/VMS.
- Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new security technology).
Qualifications:
- A fouryear college degree.
- An excellent team player who can thrive in a high volume high energy exciting environment.
- Proven experience as security manager or similar position.
- Experience using relevant security technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV).
- Experience in reporting and emergency response planning.
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
- Exceptional customer/client management skills with the desire to meet the needs of each client.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent supervisory skills.
- Ability to generate reports and statistics related to access control.
- Strong organizational skills including prioritization time management and followup.
- Ability to multitask meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
