Job Title: Electronics Technician Location: Quantico VA
Salary Range: $85000 $95000 Annually (Permanent FullTime)
**Note: Only US Citizen or GC Holder Eligible NEED LOCAL
Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician to support Marine Corps Air Facility (MCAF) Quantico Virginia in delivering critical Flight Clearance and Air Traffic Control (ATC) Maintenance services. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of air traffic systems at MCAF Quantico aligning with the facilitys mission to provide comprehensive airfield services.

The Communications Electronics Technician will perform planned preventive and corrective maintenance while supporting training and maintaining administrative records for ATC systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Maintenance and Checks:

    • Conduct preventive maintenance and daily operational checks per MCIEASTMCB CAMLEJO 3721.1 and OPNAVINST 4790.4.
    • Execute corrective maintenance ensuring compliance with FAA flight inspection standards and certifications.
    • Perform certifying ground inspections for FAA flightinspectable systems.
  • Training and Qualifications:

    • Provide OntheJob Training (OJT) and NAALS systems training to new Electronics Technicians.
    • Ensure qualifications align with MCIEASTMCB CAMLEJO 3721.1 standards.
  • Administrative Duties:

    • Complete and maintain maintenance data collection forms inspection reports training materials logbooks and equipment forms.
    • Submit timely status and compliance reports for facilities and equipment.
  • System Expertise:

    • Handle complex repairs including analogtodigital interface systems antenna systems fiber optics and RF waveguides.
    • Isolate malfunctions using advanced electronic test equipment.
    • Perform corrosion control measures and ensure system certifications are uptodate.
Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:
  • Clearance: Must possess or have previously held a Secret Clearance (expired but not revoked).
  • Training: Successfully complete governmentprovided indoctrination training and system proficiency evaluations.
  • Certifications:
    • AN/FYC22 Visual Information Display System
    • AN/FSC127 Enhanced Terminal Voice Switch (ETVS)
    • CM300 Radios
  • Experience:
    • 3 years working with AN/FYC22 AN/FSC127 and CM300 systems.
    • 5 years in ATC system maintenance including:
      • Repairing analogtodigital interface systems.
      • Diagnosing malfunctions using voltage checks and electronic test equipment.
      • Maintaining antenna systems and performing corrosion control.
      • Ensuring ATC system compliance with FAA flight checks and certifications.
    • DOD or FAA electronics course completion or accredited electronics certification.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Windows OS (3.1 and higher) DOS and MS Office.
    • Familiarity with telecommunications principles and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Network administration experience is a plus.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to perform under minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in throughhole and surfacemount soldering for componentlevel repairs.
  • CPR qualified (must maintain certification for the contract duration).

  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Capability to learn and maintain unfamiliar systems with limited training.
  • Excellent recordkeeping and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to detailed protocols and safety standards.
