Overview:
Seeking a Linux Production Support Engineer to join our automated trading desk. This role offers the chance to collaborate closely with traders technologists and quantitative analysts supporting and enhancing our production environment. Ideal for candidates with 28 years of experience trading experience preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and automate scripts (Python bash shell) to monitor the production environment.
- Support server imaging testing and deployment with the Platform Engineering team.
- Act as a bridge between trading desks and infrastructure teams (network security market data).
- Oversee and maintain a highly distributed production system.
- Provide multilevel support for traders strategists and quantitative researchers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python bash shell).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with crossfunctional teams.
- Ability to thrive in fastpaced environments.
- Excellent quantitative skills preferred.
- Understanding of financial instruments and markets is a plus.
Ideal Candidate:
- 28 years of experience (trading background highly preferred).
- Passion for automation and production support in a Linux environment.
