Job Description

Operation and Troubleshooting of Distillation and processing equipment Essential Functions: Run Distillation and Reaction process equipment Inventory management through paperwork transfers. Charging of stills Process plumbing lineups with hoses hard lines and fittings to and from tanks Packaging of citrus oils in drums/pails/gallon containers with various methods sampling and labeling distillation cuts and running GC analysis on cuts and in process samples making run condition changes/decisions based on analysis housekeeping of the work area adhering to GMP/HACCP/Food Safety Standards. Forklift operation drum and pail pallets and drum picker usage.Supervisory Responsibility:NoneWork Environment:50% Ambient/50% Air Conditioned OfficePhysical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis able to bend stoop stretch reach and duck. Moderate periods of standing. Mechanical aptitude and understanding cause and effect are key skills to the troubleshooting the issues that arise with the distillation equipment that we run at our site. Candidates that may be home mechanics or previously professional auto mechanics or maintenance techs tend to train easier than machine operators. Those that watch bottles go by on a filling line or do a single function of a manufacturing plant repeatedly all day tend to get overwhelmed by the more complex operations we have here.
