Job Description

Title : Sr. Grading Estimator/Project Manager

Location : Wilmington NC
Salary : $70000 $80000 Per Annum Plus Benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage numerous projects while simultaneously completing estimating duties experienced in using Carlson Civil Software and/or AgTek.
  • Manage site superintendents vendors and subcontractors ensuring projects are within budget and on time.
  • Primary communicator with project owners and/or engineers.
  • Attend prebid meetings with the owner vendors and subcontractors.
  • Develop a complete and accurate bid proposal including quantity takeoff; crew composition; material and subcontractor pricing.
  • Negotiate secure and manage subcontracts.
  • Compare bid pricing to historical data.
  • Read outline and communicate specifications and plans for superintendents and foremen.
  • Review material submittals and request approval.
  • Develop and maintain project schedule. Prepare and keep the project progress and budget.
  • Change order pricing and negotiations.

Language skills (must have):

English Native or bilingual proficiency

Experience required:

**QUALIFICATIONS:*

* 5 to 10 years experience in site work and utility construction project management. A Construction Management or Civil Engineer degree is desirable.

A record of successfully estimating and managing civil site and utility construction projects

Have a working knowledge of means and methods crew composition and production rates for all aspects of civil site and utility construction.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word Outlook and Project Standard scheduling software with the ability to adapt to a variety of computer applications.

Cost accounting experience preferred.

The ability to work with a team and independently to complete projects within stated deadlines.

Communicate effectively.

Follow and reinforce company safety policies.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Analytical and problemsolving skills.

Must be ambitious and selfmotivated with a cando attitude.

Must pass a preemployment drug screen.

Must have a valid drivers license.
