Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Staff Platform/Backend Engineer to join their innovative team. This role is pivotal in shaping the backend infrastructure and operational platform of a rapidly scaling organization. Tasks
- Develop and maintain backend features and integrations using Python and Django.
- Create and manage efficient CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
- Conduct performance testing and implement system improvements.
- Maintain and optimize Kubernetes Clusters for scalable and stable deployment.
- Enhance monitoring systems to ensure reliability and operational excellence.
- Provide rotational oncall support to maintain uptime and resolve critical issues.
- Task distribution: 20% DevOps 80% Engineering (this is not a DevOps role).
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: At least 8 years in software engineering with strong expertise in Python and Django.
- DevOps Skills: Proficiency in AWS Docker Kubernetes and related containerization technologies.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid role combining backend engineering and platform/SRE/DevOps responsibilities.
- StartUp Experience: Previous experience in a fastpaced startup environment with VC funding and small teams (<200 employees).
