Job Description

  1. Junior Data Science Analyst Data Governance and Lineage

Location: Chicago IL 60604 Total Openings: 2

Job Type: Day One Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Conduct indepth surveys and discussions with application owners / SME to identify Highly Sensitive / Sensitive PII data

Map data flows storage and usage across enterprise applications

Collaborate with stakeholders to classify data based on sensitivity and compliance requirements

Document endtoend data linage including upstream and downstream data flows

Trace data movement through systems to ensure accuracy and integrity

Evaluate the impact of data changes. Provide insights into potential risks associated with upstream and downstream data flows

Recommend strategies to mitigate risk and maintain data continuity

Engage with data stewards application and business teams to gather requirements.

Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to technical and business audiences

Create detailed documentation for Survey data linage dependencies and data flows.

Qualification

4 years of experience in data analysis governance or related roles

Strong understanding of data lineage upstream/downstream data flows and dependencies

Knowledge of data privacy regulations

Familiarity with relation data bases data warehouses mainframe databases

Excellent problem solving analytical communication and documentation skill.
