Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Java & AWS Developer to join our team working with a prominent Randstad client in Washington DC. The ideal candidate will design develop test and maintain Javabased software solutions leveraging AWS technologies. This role requires a keen ability to create efficient scalable and robust applications while adhering to organizational objectives and industry best practices. Collaboration technical expertise and problemsolving skills are essential for success in this clientfocused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and implement new features from detailed requirements.
- Support and troubleshoot timesensitive production activities with minimal response time.
- Debug existing code and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
- Build and maintain robust solutions using Java 8 AWS and Aurora Postgres 14.
- Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver highquality software solutions.
- Ensure alignment with Agile development methodologies and best practices.
- Maintain and improve existing applications while adhering to change and release management processes.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Utilize knowledge of financial systems reporting and audit processes to enhance application functionality.
- Foster strong working relationships with team members and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
- Java and AWS technical certifications with formal training in development methodologies.
- Minimum of six years of IT experience including five years in a developer role.
- Proficiency in Java 8 AWS and relational databases including Aurora Postgres.
- Indepth knowledge of programming systems analysis and application architecture standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting analytical and communication skills.
- Familiarity with version control systems and Agile development environments.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and audit processes is a plus.
