Job Description:
1.Structural Designing for RCC Steel and Composite Structures:
Gathering detailed input on materials plant and machineries any other loading related information and any unique design elements that need to be incorporated into the structural design.
Collaborate with architects project managers consultant and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of structural design with overall project plans
Accurately calculating the Bill of Quantities(BOQ) of materials required for the structural elements of the project. This includes detailed measurement and listing of steel concrete and other materials ensuring the BOQ is comprehensive and costeffective.
Engage in value engineering practices to optimize the structural design for cost effectiveness while maintaining safety and performance standards.
Manage timelines budget and resources ensuring projects/ services related assignments are delivered on time and within approved budget.
2. Structural Design Management for New Industrial Project:
Assess the practicality of the proposed structural design onsite.
Visiting the site to evaluate ground conditions existing structures and other factors that might impact the execution of the design ensuring the design is implementable under realworld conditions.
Finalize and release the structural design for construction after thorough reviews and approvals. This draft should be detailed including all necessary drawings specifications and notes to guide the project team.
Oversee the completion of all structural work ensuring that it meets the required standards of quality safety and compliance.
3. Structural Audit & Validation of all existing structures as per IMS:
Developing structural designs that adhere to the latest Indian Standards (IS) codes.
Keep track of old structures conduct internal audit study BMC audit findings and prepare action plan schedule and budget.
Maintaining comprehensive records of customer communication all structural designs calculations and related documents in accordance with the companys Integrated Management System (IMS). This ensures that all design work is traceable compliant with regulations and available for future reference.
4. Value Engineering/ Innovation
Gather and analyze feedback from customers regarding the structural aspects of the completed project.
Conduct regular site visits to oversee the construction activities ensuring that the structural work is being carried out according to the approved design.
Preparing detailed validation reports for any structural alterations made during the project. Documenting the reasons for the changes the impact on the overall design and the approval process ensuring all modifications are properly validated.
Introduce and implement new innovative design methodologies which will help in time and cost reduction and improve structure efficiency
Leading the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for structural designs. This includes developing 3D models that integrate all structural components allowing for better visualization coordination and management of the project throughout its lifecycle.
Collaborate closely to ensure that the structural design integrates seamlessly with other building systems.
