Job Description
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected;
- Evaluates assigned patients and plans implements and documents nursing care;
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department;
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures;
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse;
- Performs a variety of tasks;
- Communicate and educate patients and families;
- Assesses and coordinates patients discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team;
- Carries out physician orders;
- Administers prescribed medications changes dressings cleans wounds monitors vital signs;
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required;
- Monitors records and communicates patient condition;
- Assesses and plans for the care of assigned patients.
