Senior Backend Developer Java Hybrid T4 Contract (Toronto Canada)
Were thrilled to offer a hybrid T4 contract opportunity for a Senior Backend Developer to join our Clients fastgrowing team in Toronto! This role blends the flexibility of remote work with the energy of inperson collaboration when needed. What Youll Do:
- Design and Develop Build and enhance features for applications and services.
- Ensure Reliability Work with the team to maintain system stability and uptime.
- Scale Infrastructure Develop infrastructure that performs efficiently at scale.
- Write Clean Code Deliver maintainable testable and highquality code.
- Code Reviews Review implementations provide feedback and drive system improvements.
- Collaborate and Innovate Engage in technical discussions drive architectural decisions and partner with stakeholders to align strategies.
- Optimize and Automate Enhance system performance automate deployments and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Support and Monitor Join oncall rotations to ensure production stability and continuous monitoring.
What You Bring:
- Education BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Experience 6 years developing scalable backend services.
- Languages Strong skills in Java and Node.js.
- API Development Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Cloud Expertise Handson experience with AWS (CloudFront DynamoDB Lambda S3 IAM EC2 CloudWatch).
- ProblemSolving Proven track record of addressing issues in production environments.
- CI/CD Pipelines Experience with Jenkins CircleCI or Spinnaker.
- Testing Solid background in unit and integration testing.
- Agile Practices Comfortable working in Agile environments.
- Security and Networking Strong understanding of best practices.
- Terraform Handson experience with infrastructure as code.
- Observability Proficiency in OpenTelemetry Dynatrace Prometheus and Grafana.
