Position Title: Sr Backend OR Full Stack Engineer
Location: US Cupertino CA

About the Role:
- As a user study team we are looking for an experienced / senior Backend OR Full Stack Engineer to help us update/maintain our existing study data pipeline and help bring up some ML application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand complex data pipelines and learn quickly how to maintain/upgrade them
- Get familiar with the data being collected and look for ways to make data collection/cleaning/storage more efficient
- Build new backend tools to help with data collection on Apple Silicon
- Can apply ML methods to help with data analysis (regression sentiment analysis computer vision etc )
- Work crossfunctionally and adapt analysis quickly
- Bonus: if Full stack engineer a bonus would be building E2E applications (backend and frontend) on iOS devices (using Xcode)
- The candidate has to be able to work exceptionally well and efficiently in a fast pace environment and multitask between data analysis requests tasks and projects.
Qualifications:
- Pro level Python
- R (optional)
- Track record working with complex datasets integration across multiple systems
- Data Viz tools like R Shiny Tableau (nice to have)
- Excellent communication skills
- Statistical analysis (hypothesis testing statistical modeling power analysis )
- Git
- Very well organized
- Work exceptionally well in a fast pace environment and be able to multitask between tasks/projects
Preferred Skills:
- Candidate must have had relevant experiences from a prior academic/professional role. Good candidates usually come from the following fields:
- Data science
- Statistics
- Analytics
- Physics/Math
- Life sciences (with a focus on biostatistics or data science)
- Neurosciences (with a focus on biostatistics or data science)
- Clinical Trial or Studies
