Job Description
Job Title: DBA (Cloud SQL)(US Citizens Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain databases in cloud environments such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Manage and optimize SQL databases ensuring high performance and availability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues performing tuning as needed.
- Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies.
- Ensure data security and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Perform database migrations and upgrades including from onpremises to cloud platforms.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting tools like PowerShell Python or Bash.
- Stay updated with emerging database technologies and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience as a Database Administrator including cloud and SQL database management.
- Proficiency in managing databases on cloud platforms like AWS RDS Azure SQL Database or Google Cloud SQL.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with database performance tuning indexing and query optimization.
- Experience in data modeling and database design principles.
- Knowledge of database security best practices including encryption and access control.
- Experience with database automation tools and scripting languages.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
