New Product Sales Representative About The Job Your role as a New Product Sales Representative at the Company is critical in driving new product sales. You are instrumental in getting a sale across the finish line by handling technical aspects of the process creating/revising sales quotes and preparing product submittals. You will represent the Company with a professional demeanor and an engaging positive attitude. Excellent customer service and teamwork are crucial to success in this position.
In this position you will:
- Participate with the sales team in daytoday tasks that support the overall sales goals of the company.
- Handle incoming sales calls emails and chat requests to identify customer needs and provide the best solution based on the customers environment and/or stated goals.
- Assist the sales team in generating quotes based on client requirements.
- Follow up on existing quotes for approval.
- Research and confirm equipment model/serial numbers determine material estimates from vendors/manufacturers and account for labor/expenses of techs and/or welders inspection testing and subcontractors.
- Back up the Parts Manager as needed with order processing answering calls and providing quotes.
- Attend client site visits to provide technical expertise as needed.
- Distribute drawings and answer technical questions for the sales team and clients.
- Provide aftermarket support by quoting conversions and service jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Activities:
- Conduct eight (8) engineering calls weekly (lunch & learns count as calls).
- Organize and execute at least two (2) lunch & learn sessions monthly.
- Directly engage with and be primarily responsible for completing product sales.
- Focus sales efforts on commercial product lines such as Cleaver Brooks Duravent Robur Global Pump Marketing (GPM) Etter Engineering American Industrial and BKBD Boilers.
Customer Interaction:
- Handle incoming sales calls emails and chat requests to identify customer needs.
- Attend client site visits to provide technical expertise as needed.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Technical and Administrative Support:
- Generate and follow up on sales quotes based on client requirements.
- Distribute drawings and answer technical questions for the sales team and clients.
- Provide aftermarket support by quoting conversions and service jobs.
- Research and confirm equipment details (e.g. model/serial numbers) and determine material estimates.

Team Collaboration:
- Participate in daytoday sales team tasks to support overall company sales goals.
- Interact with vendors customers and team members in a manner that reinforces Company goals.
Education and Experience:
- Mechanical Engineering or Business Degree (required).
- 13 years of mechanical engineering experience (required).
- Sales engineering and industrial background experience (required).
Technical Skills:
- 3D CAD experience (preferred) with proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications (required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (required).
