Title: Maintenance Technician IV or Central Utility Plant (CUP) Technician
Pay Rate: $4043.50/hour
Employment Type: Contract
Est. End Date: January 2 2026
Schedule: 12hour shifts on a Blue Off schedule: Sunday Monday Tuesday and every other Saturday from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM.

Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Maintenance Technician IV to work onsite with our client a leader in data storage solutions. This role involves the maintenance and operation of Central Utility Plant (CUP) equipment ensuring critical systems remain operational. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Central Utility Plant equipment including boilers chillers pumps cooling towers and air compressors.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC piping and mechanical systems.
- Handle calls from site business units document issues and dispatch response teams effectively.
- Install and repair piping systems including welding soldering and working with materials like copper stainless steel and PVC.
- Monitor building automation systems respond to alarms and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct inspections identify operational problems and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform underground vault work such as replacing valves steam traps insulation and pipes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols including the use of ANSIcompliant footwear and PPE.
- Maintain punctual daily attendance and respond promptly to system alerts and issues.
MustHave Qualifications:
- Experience with utility plant operations and maintenance of equipment like boilers chillers and compressors.
- Proficiency in corrective maintenance troubleshooting and system repairs.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems building automation monitoring and alarm response.
- Knowledge of industrial piping systems and repair techniques including TIG welding and soldering.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and perform underground maintenance tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in industrial machinery chilled water systems and corrective maintenance.
- Strong understanding of building automation systems and operational procedures.
- Experience in continuous improvement projects and process development.
