Job Description
Job Title: Mid to Senior Level DevOps Engineer
Location: McLean VA (Onsite role)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kubernetes Java Groovy and Python with extensive experience in Jenkins DSL and various deployment tools such as Spinnaker Rafay and Harness. This role requires a deep understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes as well as the ability to design develop and maintain robust DevOps pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Design implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins DSL.
Develop and manage Kubernetes clusters for deployment and orchestration of applications.
Write and maintain scripts in Groovy Java and Python to automate various DevOps tasks.
Utilize deployment tools such as Spinnaker Rafay and Harness to manage application deployments.
Collaborate with software development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.
Monitor and troubleshoot issues in the CI/CD pipeline and production environments.
Implement best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management.
Ensure security and compliance requirements are met throughout the DevOps processes.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
7 years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related role.
Expertise in Kubernetes including deployment scaling and management of clusters.
Proficiency in Java Groovy and Python programming languages.
Extensive experience with Jenkins DSL for CI/CD pipeline development.
Handson experience with deployment tools such as Spinnaker Rafay and Harness.
Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and best practices.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS GCP or Azure.
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with additional scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell.
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus Grafana and ELK stack.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
