Job Description
Role: Java Spark Developer
Location: Providence RI/Jersey City NJ (Onsite)
Client: Cognizant
Duration: 12 months
Qualifications
- Developer with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Core java Spark in Scala Spark and SparkSQL
- Possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Have a minimum of 6 years of experience working with Spark in Scala Spark and SparkSQL
- Demonstrate strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Show proficiency in optimizing Spark jobs for performance and scalability
- Display experience in working with large datasets and data processing pipelines
- Have a solid understanding of data security and compliance requirements
- Be familiar with agile development methodologies and practices
- Demonstrate the ability to mentor and guide junior developers
- Show a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with the latest technologies
- Possess strong documentation skills to maintain clear and comprehensive technical records
- Exhibit the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work model
- Have experience in deploying and monitoring Spark applications in production environments
