Scrum MasterTester

ARHS Group part of Accenture is looking for an experienced Scrum Master/Tester for one of its clients in Brussels a key player in the Belgian Health Insurance Domain.

As Scrum Master/Tester you will support and develop the scrum principles and values in an agile team while taking the ownership of the quality of the deliveries.

The team will be composed of three Java developers one functional analyst and a Scrum Master/Tester.

Role & responsibilities

Team member:

• Taking responsibility together with the team for delivering the user stories planned with the product owner.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the team from a technical and organizational perspective.

Scrum Master:

• Facilitating the Scrum ceremonies and help the team reach its objectives. You are the servantleader of the team.
• Supporting and challenging the team in its continuous improvement.
• Helping the team implement and finetune the team agreements within the Scrum framework and principles.
• Being the first point of contact with management (Service Delivery Manager) makes you a key person to support the company vision and objectives within your team.
• Supporting company/department processes and agreements.
• Facilitating collaboration with other teams and departments.
• Solving impediments or escalate impediments to management when pertinent.
• Supporting the Product Owner in backlog management and sprint planning.

Tester:

• Acquiring within a reasonable timeframe mastery of business topics and processes. Your curiosity critical thinking and analytical approach will be key assets.
• Actively participating in the implementation of realistic and effective test scenarios.
• Using Selenium/Cucumber/Gherkin to set up nonregression tests.
• Relying on developer support to link Gherkin statements with application code if needed. Proficiency in Java is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of jMeter is an advantage.
• You are proficient in SQL and can easily manipulate data for test setup.
• Developing your knowledge of application architecture to propose and execute realistic and effective testing.
• Challenging business requirements and technical solutions.
• Providing the necessary transparency by adhering to team agreements regarding testing and quality.
• When necessary implementing performance testing.
• Participating in the documentation of systems.
• Collaborating effectively with different profiles: developers analysts business experts infrastructure specialists managers etc.

Technical skills

• Knowledge of agile reporting and followup tools (e.g. Jira)
• Understanding of tooling on automated unit testing automated functional testing and continuous integration tooling
• Sound knowledge of software development methodology
• Sound knowledge of project management methodology

• Expert knowledge of agile methodology and techniques (e.g. Kanban)
