General Summary Manage data and produce statistical analysis for the community psychiatry programs. Serve as the primary point of contact for all data activities. Conduct assessments and analysis of program activities and utilization of services and develops mechanisms to report to various persons both inside and outside the division. Prepare reports and presentations that inform ongoing activities and monitor and improve the quality of services delivered by programs in the division. Responsible for maintaining data integrity security and confidentiality for the division.
II. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.
Directs evaluates and organizes data activities within the Division of Community Psychiatry.
Oversees and manages the data development function from which statistics are generated for use by program leadership quality compliance and researchbased entities.
Performs data extracts cleaning transforming and validating of data for reporting service utilization performance initiatives and specific demographic data to internal and external agencies per regulatory licensing or grant reporting requirements.
Provides support to program managers and their administrators to discuss and solve data problems identify needs and modify routines to ensure consistent and cohesive data management.
Coauthor of the Divisions Quality and Performance Improvement Plan and reports for which statistics are generated and graphical representation is developed
Participates in chart reviews and mock survey compliance for outpatient clinics. This includes compliance for Maryland Department of Healths COMAR regulations The Joint Commission standards and Center for Medicaid and Medicare.
Participates in general research projects within the Department of Psychiatry by providing requested data.
Research publicly available data relevant to the divisions priorities and initiatives and incorporates it into analysis and presentations that inform planning and monitoring activities.
Liaison with Psychiatry IT trouble shoots computer issues and consultation with Psychiatry IT as needed.
Collaborate with leadership and program team members to continuously improve data integrity and reporting effectiveness.
Troubleshoot problems concerning database records and communication with end users of the system.
Complete ad hoc data projects as assigned.
Qualifications :
III. Education and Experience
Professional Certificate in Data Analytics or related strongly preferred.
Bachelors degree in Public Health Data Science Social Work Psychology or closely related field preferred.
a) Related experience may be substituted on a yearforyear basis for the required education. Associates degree: May substitute 2 years of related experience for Bachelors degree.
b) High School Diploma: May substitute 4 years of related experience for Bachelors degree.
Two years experience in applied data management and analysis in behavioral health or population health preferred.
Experience with developing reports through an electronic medical record system such as EPIC and associated applications preferred
