Job Description
As a CPI Instructor you will be responsible for training all DBH staff on deescalation and crisis prevention skills ensuring that they are equipped to handle challenging situations effectively in the milieu.
Essential Job Functions:
Train staff in deescalation and crisis prevention skills.
Provide training and support for Nonviolent Crisis Intervention for the responsible assigned region/facility.
Prepare and provide CPI training programs including facilitation of ancillary programs and presentations
To work closely with HR and operations team to ensure that all delivery and training are completed to a high standard.
Ensure employees receive proper certification upon completion.
Renewing CPI certification every two years to maintain their Certified Instructor status.
Qualifications :
1 or more years of experience in the behavioral health setting preferred.
Bachelors Degree preferred
CPI Certification required (DBH will pay for the certification)
Experience working with children/adults with behavioral health.
Ability to demonstrate and perform specific physical intervention techniques.
Empathy and understanding of developmental stages.
Great communication skills
Microsoft software knowledge and experience (teams outlook PowerPoint ect.)
Ability to utilize ABA strategies.
Ability to travel as needed
