Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Operates assigned vehicle in safe and courteous manner.
Keeps the assigned vehicle clean inside and outside.
Immediately reports any accident or incident to the management.
Liaises with the Fleet Administrator and Fleet Technical to schedule major and minor periodic maintenance.
Responsible for ensuring 100% loading of the dedicated stocks
Ensures accurate and timely delivery of picked orders
Jointly with the Delivery Assistant:
Plans the efficient delivery sequence for the consigned load
Ensures all supporting delivery documentations are accurately processed and handled.
Ensures adherence to health & safety procedures
May be required to liaise with representatives from Sales Division
May be required to liaise with the Document Controllers within Logistics
Interfaces with Warehouse and Distribution staff
On a daily basis acts as interface with the customer at the point of delivery
Through positive interaction and responsiveness, ensures customer satisfaction
Jointly with the Delivery Assistant, is responsible for the daily supervision of supply laborers
Sales Generation
Customer Acquisition: Drive sales by prospecting new customers, identifying opportunities, and initiating contact with potential clients or customers to introduce products or services.
Sales Presentations: Conduct in-person or virtual sales presentations, demonstrations, and meetings to showcase the benefits of products or services and address customer needs.
Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, services, pricing, and promotions to effectively communicate and sell to customers.
Achieving Sales Targets: Work to achieve or exceed individual or team sales quotas and revenue goals by closing deals and driving sales growth.
Customer Relationship Management
Building Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers by providing excellent service and regular follow-ups.
Customer Retention: Focus on retaining existing clients by ensuring satisfaction, resolving issues, and identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
Customer Support: Assist customers with inquiries, provide product recommendations, and troubleshoot any issues related to products or services.


Desired candidate profile

  • At least High school level
  • No health issues related to blood sugar, cholesterols, back pains health issues that will affect driving and the labor intensive part of the delivery.
  • Minimum 3 years driving experience of heavy vehicles with minimum 2 years driving experience of delivery experience for a FMCG company is a must.
  • Can read, write, speak and understand basic Basic English.
  • Can mentally calculate using basic arithmetic.
  • Physically fit to lift and move heavy load (i.e. 20 kilos upstairs back and forth from 1st floor to second floor)
  • Male, between 20 to 35 years of age.
  • Flexible in working either in morning or evening work shift.
  • Willing to occasionally work on straight shifts.
  • Willing to work on designated off days or holidays whenever deliveries are required.
  • Willing to work outdoors in a very demanding environment.
  • Must have a valid Qatar driving license; qualified in medium driving category. Having also heavy (Trailer) driving category is a plus.
  • Vehicle basic maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge is a plus
