Roles and responsibilities

Develop Dashboards by understanding business needs, interpret the integrated data and translate this into usable visualizations to drive business decisions, interpreting results and how to utilize the dashboards
Prepare relevant business data and information using agreed processes, procedures and systems
Use agreed data collection tools for data analysis and management reporting
Experience in installation and configuration of BI software on the server.
Provide data and reporting solutions to operational and business issues
Analyze and communicate data analysis findings to a range of stakeholders, using a variety of formats and different approaches
Review collated business information to identify trends, anomalies and respond to ad-hoc queries for information
Ensure relevant data sets are complete, accurate and all information is input in time to allow accurate regular reporting
Identify the appropriate data sources and map the data from source to target
Data Collection and Preparation
Data Gathering: Collect data from various internal and external sources, such as databases, spreadsheets, surveys, or web sing.
Data Cleaning: Ensure the data is accurate, complete, and consistent by identifying and correcting errors or inconsistencies in raw data.
Data Transformation: Format and organize data for analysis, which may include normalizing, aggregating, and merging datasets from different sources.
Data Analysis and Interpretation
Trend Analysis: Identify trends, patterns, and insights within data by applying statistical techniques and analytical methods.
Statistical Analysis: Use tools like Excel, R, Python, or SAS to perform statistical analysis on data, such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and time-series analysis.
Data Modeling: Build data models to predict future trends, using techniques like forecasting or machine learning algorithms (e.g., classification, clustering, or regression models).
Data Visualization: Create clear and informative data visualizations, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel, to present data trends and insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
5+ years of experience as Data Analyst
High level of proficiency in SQL and in-depth knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle and MS SQL Server)
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reporting and Communication
Generate Reports: Prepare comprehensive reports that summarize key findings, insights, and recommendations based on data analysis.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex findings in a clear, concise manner to stakeholders, including management, marketing teams, or clients, through presentations or written reports.
Business Insights: Provide actionable insights and recommendations that support decision-making processes in areas such as marketing, sales, finance, or operations.
Data-Driven Decision Support: Support leadership and teams by providing data-driven recommendations to improve business processes, optimize operations, or enhance strategies.
Database Management
Database Querying: Use SQL or similar querying languages to extract and manipulate data from relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).
Database Maintenance: Ensure data integrity, manage data access, and maintain databases by performing regular updates or migrations.
