Job Description
We are currently looking on behalf of one of our clients for a junior system administrator. This is a permanent position.
Tasks
- Plan and manage small projects
- Assist with the planning and execution of larger projects
- Provide first second and thirdlevel support by phone and onsite
- Maintain and manage systems and servers
- Administer Microsoft Active Directory DNS DHCP
- Manage licences
- Prepare simple quotes
- Install configure and deliver workstations including preloading
- Integrate cloud solutions (Microsoft 365 / DDI Cloud)
- Support manage and maintain existing IT infrastructures (both Cloud and OnPrem)
- Maintain and improve IT services such as monitoring backup etc.
- Manage install and plan Windowsbased systems (Windows ServerWindows 11)
- Create and update system documentation
- Implement SLA agreements for both Cloud and OnPrem environments
Requirements
- IT academic background ideally in IT infrastructure
- At least 2 years experience managing and maintaining IT infrastructures
- Experience with server storage and network architectures
- Familiarity with virtualization (HyperV and Azure)
- Experience with backup solutions (Acronis Cyber Backup) and firewalls (SOPHOS) is beneficial
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 platforms
- Ability to work independently reliably and accurately
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus
- Enthusiastic and creative when approaching new challenges
- Valid drivers license
- A strong team player
- Fluent in German and English
