Job Description
We are seeking a flexible and skilled Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide cover on an ad hoc basis in the Dorset and Somerset areas. This position offers a mix of consultations and surgeries with flexible dates and shifts available from October to December 2024.
Location: Dorset & Somerset
Dates: October to December 2024 (Flexible dates available)
Shifts: 14 Days per week (Flexible)
- 8:30am 6:30pm or 9:00am 7:00pm
Role: Consultations & Operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct consultations and routine examinations for a variety of small animal cases.
- Perform a range of surgical procedures from routine operations to more complex surgeries.
- Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage cases effectively.
- Communicate clearly with pet owners offering advice on treatment options and postoperative care.
Requirements:
- Must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a valid veterinary license.
- Experience in both consultations and operations is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in different practice environments.
- Flexibility to work between 14 days per week depending on availability.
