Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Newcastle upon Tyne Tyne and Wear on a temporary basis. This role is available from 8th October 2024 to 31st January 2025 requiring a commitment of five days per week. The position involves providing consultations performing surgeries and delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive and wellequipped environment.

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Tyne and Wear
Contract: Temporary (08/10/2024 to 31/01/2025)
Working Hours: 5 days per week
Shift Times: 08:30 18:00

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct consultations and diagnose a wide range of small animal conditions.
  • Perform routine surgeries and provide ongoing patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets health and treatment plans.
  • Work closely with the veterinary team to maintain high standards of clinical care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.

Requirements

  • MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Previous experience in small animal practice preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic surgical and consultation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
