Job Description

About the Role:
GLG Vets is delighted to support an established veterinary practice in Liverpool Merseyside in their search for a dedicated Lead Veterinary Surgeon. As a key member of their team you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional veterinary care to patients while also mentoring and leading the clinical team.

Location: Liverpool Merseyside
Salary: 60000 to 65000 per year
FullTime: 40 hours per week (1 in 3 or 1 in 6 weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver highquality veterinary care to pets and animals in a variety of cases.
  • Support and manage a team of veterinary professionals ensuring excellent standards are upheld.
  • Build strong relationships with clients offering compassionate and professional service.
  • Perform surgery diagnostics and treatments for a range of conditions.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and continuous improvement.
  • Lead by example providing guidance and support to junior colleagues.

Requirements:

  • RCVS registered and ideally with previous leadership or senior veterinary experience.

  • A commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
