Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Head Veterinary Surgeon to lead our dedicated team in Hinckley. This fulltime role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape and guide the clinical standards and growth of the practice. With no outofhours (OOHs) responsibilities and a structured rota this role provides a balanced schedule and a supportive environment.
Salary: Starting at 70000 (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mentor and support a team of 5 veterinarians 5 nurses 2 student nurses and 2 animal care assistants
- Oversee all clinical and surgical activities ensuring the highest standards of patient care
- Develop treatment protocols and establish clinical standards in collaboration with the team
- Conduct consultations diagnostic tests and surgical procedures
- Engage with clients to ensure compassionate effective communication and build longterm client relationships
- Participate in the development and implementation of practice initiatives and improvements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Veterinary degree with current RCVS registration
- Significant experience in veterinary surgery ideally with prior leadership experience
- Strong clinical and surgical skills with the ability to manage a diverse caseload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development
- Organizational and problemsolving abilities with a passion for highquality patient care
