We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Head Veterinary Surgeon to lead our dedicated team in Hinckley. With no outofhours (OOHs) responsibilities and a structured rota this role provides a balanced schedule and a supportive environment.
Salary: Starting at 70000 (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mentor and support a team of 5 veterinarians 5 nurses 2 student nurses and 2 animal care assistants
- Oversee all clinical and surgical activities ensuring the highest standards of patient care
- Develop treatment protocols and establish clinical standards in collaboration with the team
- Conduct consultations diagnostic tests and surgical procedures
- Engage with clients to ensure compassionate effective communication and build longterm client relationships
- Participate in the development and implementation of practice initiatives and improvements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Veterinary degree with current RCVS registration
- Significant experience in veterinary surgery ideally with prior leadership experience
- Strong clinical and surgical skills with the ability to manage a diverse caseload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development
- Organizational and problemsolving abilities with a passion for highquality patient care
