Caretaker

We are seeking a permanent Caretaker to maintain a portfolio of Social Housing sites around Erith Woolwich Sidcup and Thamesmead. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting others and maintaining a clean organised space.

You must have a full UK Driving Licence but Company Vehicle is provided.

This role is Fulltime Monday to Friday (37.5 per week inclusive of breaks)

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety comfort and wellbeing of residents clients or visitors.
• Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning rooms common areas and bathrooms.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs repairing small items and managing waste disposal.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents as needed.
• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing dressing grooming and feeding if required.
• Monitor and report on residents health and wellbeing including noting any changes in condition.
• Ensure the premises are properly maintained organized and secure.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies equipment and other household items.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed including emergency procedures and protocols.
• Assist with managing schedules for appointments deliveries and activities.

What are we looking for

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Proven experience as a Caretaker Housekeeper or similar role.
• IT literate (use of tablet smart phone apps).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy patience and a caring attitude toward others.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform light manual tasks.
