Overview / Summary:
We are looking for a Database Administrator with 5 years of experience on supporting mission critical environment.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
The successful candidate needs to have a good knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows OS and must be available to work in team in hybrid mode and being oncall (approx. one week per month).
Mandatory Requirements:
- PostgreSQL/EDB
- MS SQL Server
- AWS RDS
- AWS Redshift
- Knowledge of some of these script languages:
- PSQL
- TSQL
- SQL
- PL/SQL
- shell scripting
- perl
- powershell
- python
The ideal candidate has:
- Master degree in Information Technology / Maths / Physics / Statistics / Engineering or has an equivalent working experience.
- Strong persuading and influencing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively at both business and technical levels.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Able to work independently with the minimum of supervision.
- The ability to liaise with different levels of staff within the organization.
- Good team player.
- Must be motivated to progress in the role.
- Selfstarter with the ability to plan and manage work according to deadlines
- Pragmatic approach.
- Willingness to share experience / knowledge.
