WeCare Medical Specialty Group is seeking a detailoriented and efficient Remote Cash Poster to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. The Cash Poster will be responsible for accurately posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts in a timely manner. This is a remote position offering the flexibility to work from home while contributing to the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Accurately post payments from various sources (insurance companies patients etc.) to patient accounts.
Reconcile electronic and manual payment postings.
Identify and resolve payment discrepancies and denials.
Process adjustments refunds and writeoffs as needed.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all payment transactions.
Research and resolve unidentified payments.
Communicate effectively with internal teams (billing collections etc.) to resolve paymentrelated issues.
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
Meet daily and weekly posting deadlines.
Stay uptodate with industry regulations and best practices related to cash posting.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or relevant coursework preferred.
Proven experience in cash posting medical billing or a related field.
Strong understanding of medical billing and insurance processes.
Excellent data entry and numerical skills with a high degree of accuracy.
Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
Must be located in the United States or be a U.S. permit resident.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with specific billing software used by WeCare Medical Specialty Group (mention the specific software if known).
Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding.
Experience in a healthcare setting particularly in dialysis or nephrology.
