Job Description
Support seamless operations of the Fairmont Banff Springs by managing all incoming goods. The Receiving Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring seamless operations by managing the receipt and inspection of all incoming deliveries. This position is responsible for verifying shipment accuracy documenting deliveries and maintaining a clean and organized loading dock.
Starting Rate: $20.57 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.28.
Job Duties Include:
- Inspect all deliveries for quality quantity and accuracy noting any discrepancies or damage and ensure all shipments include a valid Purchase Order.
- Accurately receive and process Purchase Orders in the Birchstreet Procurement System and communicate with Purchasing Managers to coordinate timely retrieval of deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized loading dock and assist with organizing and distributing food items and guest/convention packages to secure storage areas.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams vendors and truck drivers to support seamless operations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and perform additional duties as required to ensure operational efficiency.
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Lifting up to 35 kg (77 lbs)
- Pushing and pulling a cart of 200 kg (450 lbs)
- Bending standing reaching walking throughout the shift
Qualifications :
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal English; great interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word Excel and email
- Previous experience operating a motorized pallet jack is an asset
