Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled HVAC CAD Operator to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for creating and modifying detailed HVAC system designs and layouts using computeraided design (CAD) software. The ideal candidate will have experience working with HVAC systems be proficient in CAD software and have a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Drafting:
- Create detailed HVAC system drawings including ductwork piping and equipment layouts.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications codes and regulations.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and modify designs as needed.
- Review and incorporate feedback from clients and other stakeholders into design revisions.
- Quality Control:
- Perform detailed checks of CAD drawings for accuracy completeness and conformity to standards.
- Coordinate with field technicians to ensure designs are feasible for installation.
- System Coordination:
- Assist in coordinating HVAC systems with other building systems (electrical plumbing structural).
- Ensure that HVAC systems integrate smoothly into the overall building design.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain uptodate records of drawings and revisions.
- Prepare and submit design documents and progress reports to management.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree or certification in CAD drafting HVAC technology or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 2 years of experience working as a CAD operator specifically with HVAC systems.
- Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD Revit or similar programs.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software for HVAC system design.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems components and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Attributes:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers project managers and clients.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to adapt designs to meet project needs.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
