Job Description

About The Role

Youll assist the Audience Curation and Development team on key activations and programs for strategic communities at TED2025 (firsttime attendees donor program community events and socials etc). Youll support with a variety of tasks; including prep for inperson and online community events analyzing data and building audience reports and reviewing conference applications. 

You always prioritize the attendee experience youre an active listener a clear communicator and you enjoy collaborative work. As a member of the Events Team your role enhances outstanding experience for attendees and contributes to the overall success of TEDs worldclass events. The pay range for this role is $20 $25 / hour CAN.

What Youll Do

  • Assist with inperson and online community events (developing timelines customer support creating collateral event preparations) 
  • Organize and maintain efficient community database systems and various processes 
  • Communicate and follow up with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Assist with developing running and analyzing surveys and other data
  • Analyze and build reports on the effectiveness of programs and understanding of the community 
  • Bring to life programming designed to build a welcoming and inclusive culture at TED events socials and gatherings.
  • Work onsite at TED2025 supporting Audience Development activations (must be available April)

Skills

  • Solid working knowledge of Google applications (Sheets Docs Forms) ).
  • Experience organizing online and inperson events 
  • Comfortable interpreting data to inform decisions
  • Techsavvy fast learner of new tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills: inperson verbal and written. 
  • Experience in managing customer records and customer support both inperson and online.
  • Experience working with diverse networks or communities
  • Diplomacy and quick problemsolving under pressure.
  • High sense of personal responsibility and integrity; deep commitment to equity.
  • Background/experience in sociology research surveys and/or community development an asset
  • A degree or diploma is an asset
