Job Description
As a data engineer in MUFG your roles and responsibilities would typically include:
Data Infrastructure Management: Designing building and maintaining the data infrastructure including databases and data pipelines to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
ETL (Extract Transform Load) Development: Developing and implementing ETL processes to extract data from various sources transform it into a consistent format and load it into the data ecosystem for analysis.
Data Integration: Integrating data from different systems and sources including internal databases and external APIs to create a unified view of the organizations financial data.
Data Quality and Governance: Ensuring data quality integrity and security by implementing data governance processes data validation and data cleansing procedures.
Performance Optimization: Optimizing data infrastructure and processing pipelines to enhance data processing speed and overall system performance.
Realtime Data Processing: Implementing realtime data processing solutions to handle streaming financial data for timesensitive applications like trading platforms or fraud detection.
Data Security and Privacy: Implementing security measures to protect sensitive financial data from unauthorized access and complying with data privacy regulations.
Collaborative Work: Collaborating with product owners business analysts data analysts data scientists and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide them with reliable and accessible data.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- 1 3 years of commercial experience ETL tools (experience with Apache NiFi will be considered an advantage).
- Experience with programming languages such as Python will be considered as advantage.
- Experience in datarelated process controls.
- Experience working with a team of developers using agile methodologies to achieve planned process deliverables.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate commitment to providing customerfocused quality service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
