Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE: Provide operational and maintenance support throughout complex.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall painting and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
- Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Education / Experience / Background
- High School diploma or GED.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to read write and speak English fluently
- The job can be physically demanding involving movement of heavy equipment and carrying materials up and down stairs. Candidates should be able to lift a 50lb load.
- Must be able to walk a minimum of three miles per day.
- Must have high mechanical aptitude level
- Must have ability to work from elevated surfaces; (ladders platforms lifts)
- Some experience with plumbing electrical and HVAC would be an advantage
- Ability to work rotating shifts involving weekends holidays backshifts and overtime is required.
Required Certification / Licenses / Training
- Must hold a valid driver license with a satisfactory driving record to maintain minimum company required insurance coverage.
