Software Engineer - Sr Consultant level 11 yrs Microservices Springboot

The Opportunity: 

We at SSCE (Shared Services and Cloud Enablement) are looking for a talented Sr Consultant Software Engineer to lead our software development initiatives.

Role Overview:

The Sr Consultant Software Engineer will play a pivotal role within the Shared Services and Cloud Enablement (SSCE) organization part of the VAS department at Visa. In this role you will be responsible for building applications services components and libraries that form the foundational platform on which many of Visas revenuegenerating applications rely to function seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implementation: Design and implement highly scalable robust and resilient solutions ensuring highquality productionready software.
• Agile Methodology: Complete all phases of the software development lifecycle following an agile methodology.
• Requirement Gathering: Gather and clarify requirements ensuring a clear understanding and alignment with business needs.
• Communication Facilitation: Facilitate communication with other groups within the organization to ensure smooth collaboration and integration.
• Adherence to Architecture: Adhere to architectural decisions and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality across projects.
• Collaboration: Collaborate multifunctionally to create design artifacts and develop bestinclass software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings.
• Product Quality: Actively contribute to product quality improvements valuable service technology and new business flows in diverse agile squads.
• Product Development: Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including enduser merchants B2B and businesstogovernment solutions.
• Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior engineers in the team fostering an environment of growth and learning.
• Act as a solution architect and either provide solutions to features or to solve problems or work with architects to come up with best solution designs.

The Skills You Bring:

Should have experience in debugging and solving production issues in customer facing applications.
• Good experience of writing High level and low level design documents.
• Have done at least 78 years of hands on coding.
• 23 years of experience as a technical lead is desired.
• UI development skills : Moderate to strong knowledge and experience of working with React Js or Angular.
• Builder: Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability
• Learner: Constant drive to learn new technologies such as Angular React Kubernetes Docker etc.
• Partnership: Experience collaborating with Product Test Devops SRE and Agile/Scrum teams

**We do not expect that any single candidate would fulfill all of these characteristics. For instance we have exciting team members who are really focused on building scalable systems but didnt work with payments technology or web applications before joining Visa.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:
8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 5
years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 2
years of work experience with a PhD OR 11 years of relevant work
experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or
more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters
MBA JD MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Number of years of relevant experience is little flexible if you have excellent
track record.
Atleast 78 years of handson coding experience using Java technologies. UI
development skills using React or Angular is an added advantage.
